Dexcres rolled his eyes. He’d nearly forgotten what a boring guy Mundus was. 

“Right. Of course.” He shook his head and walked past the Prince, having already become bored of him. He had things to do, and no longer looked forward to conversing with or even being in the presence of this boring man.

Freakshow hugged his uncle tightly. “I will. I won’t let anyone hurt her and get away with it from now on.”

“Good boy.” He smiled and kissed the top of Freakshow’s head. “Your mother would be very proud of you”

“…. Let her be. If I know my little girl at all, she’ll recover from this. There is nothing to worry about…” He gently stroked his nephew’s hair. “She just needs somebody to be there with her to keep her from… ‘leaving’ like I did..”
